일반적으로 PP(폴리프로필렌)을 사용합니다.
식기의 제작 단계부터 사용되고 폐기되는 과정까지 고려했을 때 여러 번 사용하기에 가장 적합하고,
인체에 무해하며 폐기 후 원재료화 가능한 소재입니다. 서비스 모델에 따라 사용하는 소재는 달라질 수 있지만
재료의 순환이 이루어지지 않는 소재는 사용하지 않습니다.
그린피스의 2019 플라스틱 보고서에 따르면 플라스틱 제로는 현실적으로 불가능하기 때문에
무조건적인 사용 억제보다는 이미 생산되고 사용된 플라스틱을 재사용하고 순환할 수 있는 시스템을 만드는 것이
중요하다고 합니다. 트래쉬버스터즈는 그 순환 시스템을 만들고자 합니다.
또한 플라스틱은 가볍고 잘 깨지지 않아 여러 번 사용하기에 적합한 소재입니다.
다회용기 한 개를 사용할 경우 일회용기 사용시 발생하는 쓰레기 양을 1/300로 줄일 수 있습니다.
현재는 축제와 행사를 위한 서비스를 제공하고 있고, 추후 단체 도시락, 배달, 사내 카페, 캠퍼스 카페,
야구장, 축구장, 장례식장, 영화관 등 일회용기가 사용되는 수많은 곳들로 확대해 나갈 예정입니다.
